You can delete everything yourself, from inside the app. It is immediate and permanent — we do not hold your data in a recycle bin and we cannot undo it.
Everything you saved is stored against your device, not an email address. You do not need to create an account to remove it.
A one-way hash of your email address and Google ID, plus the number of saves you had used in the current calendar month — for 365 days.
The free tier allows a set number of saves per month. Without this, deleting an account and signing up again with the same address would reset that limit, which would make the free tier unlimited for anyone who noticed. We store a SHA-256 hash, not your address — we cannot read an address back out of it, and it is used for nothing else. After 365 days the row is deleted automatically. Deleting your account does not refund the current month’s usage.
If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, deleting your BuzVault account does not cancel that subscription and does not refund it — we never see your payment details and cannot cancel it for you. Cancel it in that store’s subscription settings, or you will keep being billed.
Email help@buzvault.com with the subject “Delete my BuzVault account”, from the email address on the account. We delete the account within 7 days of receiving the request.
We ask you to write from the account’s own address because it is the only way we can tell that the request is really yours — we have no other way to verify it, and acting on an unverified request would let anyone delete someone else’s vault. If you cannot access that address, tell us and we will ask you for something else that shows the account is yours.
See our Privacy Policy for the full detail of what we store and why, or our Terms of Use.
